Don't Give Up On God

When I was young, I was exposed to lots of verbal abuse. The effects of this were long-term and eroded my self-worth, which led to years of depression.
I didn’t feel like I could turn to God for help b/c the church we went to was a “fire and brimstone” church which led me to think that I was going to Hell for every little bad thing I ever did. My depression almost led me to doing the worst thing that a person could do to himself and it pushed me away from God.
I fortunately outlasted my depression and went to a different church in my 20’s. This church swung the other way and was much less stringent with its rules. Now, I attend a non-denominational church and know that God is NOT looking to punish us. He is looking to restore us.
He wants all of us to get saved, no matter what big or little bad things we have done. We are ALL sinners. Even Billy Graham admitted that he was a sinner. If God can turn Paul around from being a Christian-killing Jew to a person who wrote nearly half of the New Testament, he can show mercy and give blessings to any of us. Don’t give up on God. He loves us beyond measure and wants the best for us.

Whether you have served in the Armed Forces, as a 1st Responder, helped a neighbor or stranger in need, been an encourager & not a "Debbie Downer", done something to make your neighborhood, city or state a better place to live, always been honest in business dealings, given back any extra change that was given to you by a cashier, bought lemonade on a curb from a kid, bought someone a meal or
forgiven someone that really didn't deserve it (because Someone is always ready to do that for us).

Have you felt let down lately? Have you been hearing for over 4 years that things were going to change drastically? That people were going to be exposed, removed from power & arrested? That the economy was going to drastically switch for the better? That there was going to be a billion soul harvest? Are you getting to the point where you think that some of these things should have happened by now?
Many things have changed in the last several months. Some people have been removed from power & arrested but they don't seem to be the ones that were being talked about for so long. Some churches are showing signs of revivals & 2 years ago there were HUGE revivals across dozens of college & high school campuses.
Many talked-about things are moving slowly on the surface. Assuredly they are moving more quickly where we can't see.
Now is not the time to take our foot off of the gas. As things are moving on other levels, we still have tasks in front of us. Keep exposing the RINO's, keep making plans to vote in the right people & volunteer to put Conservatives in the positions where they are needed, in precincts, towns, counties as well as the state & national levels.

This is a great day to thank a Veteran or Active Duty Member for their service. If not for them, we would not have the freedoms that we enjoy. (Methinks even more freedoms are coming that we didn't know we lacked.)

April 19th marks the 250th Anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord, Massachussetts. They were the official beginning of the American Revolutionary War. The British fared worse than the Colonials by the end of the day; and by the end of the war.
