It's Time To Call Out The Lies Of The Corrupt

In many societies, there are different opinions on how things ought to be run.  This has happened over many centuries.  The Apostle Paul explained in 2 Corinthians that just because the Greek-trained speakers of his day were more eloquent with their words, they were not putting people on the path of morality.  He challenged his listeners to compare those speakers' words with the guidelines laid out in the Bible.  If they didn't match up, they should be ignored.  Paul called them out publicly, stating that they were wrong in front of the general public.

In America, there are very vocal opinions that socialism is good, that marriage should not just be between a man and a woman, that transvestites (some of them convicted pedophiles) should be allowed to read books to children in libraries, that biological men be allowed to compete against women in sports and be able to use the same bathrooms, locker rooms and showers as women and girls.  Many people also applaud laws that allow babies to be aborted, even after they are born.  All of these things fall well short of Biblical teachings as they corrupt morals and have shown little respect for others' rights and lives.

Fortunately, there have been many who have publicly stood up against these false teachings.  Ronald Reagan was such an ardent opponent of communism beginning in the 1940's that there were threats to throw acid on his face to ruin his acting career.  After he became the president, he labeled the Soviet Union as "The Evil Empire".

Since the 1950's, Franklin Graham and his family have done an outstanding job working to bring people from the influence of immorality into the flock who have more respect for others and for God.  Read any edition of the Decision Magazine to see evidence of their conviction of those leading people down the wrong path.

Rush Limbaugh has labeled himself as "America's Truth Detector" for good reason.  He has called out the lies of those who would corrupt the moral and political thought and action of this country for over 30 years.  He often has done so in parody and taken the "devil's advocate" approach of his points to show how he is correct.  

Although he lacks tact at times, his intention is correct.  Donald Trump also has the characteristics of pointing out those who not just misrepresent the facts but they are outright liars.  (This may be more of a product of his being brought up in New York City.  Many people from there are ready to confront others.)  He is very quick to call out lies in public mediums.  While his claims may sound or be made to sound outrageous (he was the one who originally claimed that his presidential campaign was spied upon), a little examination often proves that he is 100% correct.  

We need such bold words from more people all across the culture to counter the immoral leanings we are being exposed to.  If no one calls out the lies and misleadings, they eventually become part of the public narrative and mores.  As Kirk Cameron said “These are very exciting times to live, and it is an honor and a privilege to stand for the principles of truth,” he says. “These are the days when heroes are created.
